We really had no idea that the finished product could be as breathtaking as it is. You certainly had the vision that we lacked. Our new poolscape is not only beautiful, but functional. All of your personnel were tidy and courteous during the job and kept us informed the entire way of the schedule. I really can’t express our pleasure with the job you did for us.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the members of your team for their continued attention and support following the construction of our pool this year. This construction process itself did not always go as smoothly as I’m sure we all would have liked, and I don’t think we ever anticipated the extent of the destruction to our existing yard, but since the completion of the pool I can only say that your staff have been wonderful and patient in giving their attention and assistance to every unfinished detail or problem that has arisen.

I would particularly like to thank Steven for his kindness and courtesy, and speedy resolution of all problems despite the many demands on his time; and also Dave Baker for his patience, and helping us out after- hours on one occasion, and Kristie and Jeanette in the office who have assisted on many occasions.

Very often in the construction business, companies are just not interested once they have received payment for the job, but this has certainly not been the situation with Ocean Quest. Our beautiful pool speaks for itself in recommending your company, and we would not hesitate to add our personal testimonies to the quality of your work and the continued support of your staff.

This note of thanks is long overdue. I want to personally take the time to thank each and every person that was instrumental in physically building my pool. Ronnie, I can not thank you enough for your professionalism, your personal touch and your uncanny ability to walk through my front door and visualize how magnificent my pool would be in the end and how much I would love it. Thank you for your vision and for making me see it through to the end.

I want to thank Greg from the excavation crew and his patience and extra care of my backyard and grass from digging the hole, moving the grass to cleaning up in the end. Thank you! I want to thank Roger, Christino Pete Mason’s and all their crew. The pool is gorgeous and the waterfall is dynamic.

Only you know how much I appreciate everything you have done. Chris made all things possible. No man is better than his ability to lead his crew, and Chris you are the picture of this. In turn you have an awesome group of guys that make up each team. You all are a well oiled piece of machinery.

Chris and Lisa, thank you. You two are the final touch that makes buying a pool from Lew Akins like a marriage. I feel I can call on any of you for anything at any time. This pool company keeps on giving long after the water is in the pool. You all are everything you advertise but far more than you admit. I am proud to be an Ocean Quest Pool owner.

I don’t know that I’ve seen anything add so much value or so much fun to our backyard. You can literally use it anytime. It doesn’t matter how hot it is, you can always go in your backyard. And when it gets cold or cooler we just enjoy looking at the pool.

Our experience with Lew Akins was great. They followed the plan like they said they would and we had no problems. They were wonderful to work with and I would absolutely use them again. In fact, we've recommended them to several people who have used them.

I was also impressed with the workmanship of the pool. You'll notice little things that are finished with an Ocean Quest pool that might not be finished in another pool. Any time I call them they are here within a week to help me and they have followed up on their warranty work to the letter perfectly. I first met Lew about five years ago and it wasn't very soon that he was doing my pool. I was just toying with the idea, but after meeting Lew and hearing the excitement that he was showing that literally I couldn't do anything but build a pool. I don't know that I've seen anything add so much value or so much or so much fun to our backyard. You can use it and it doesn't matter how hot it is, you can always go in your backyard. Then when it gets cold we just enjoy looking at the pool and we never cover it up, so it's been a great asset. The other thing I really enjoy, being in the custom homebuilding business, is being able to send a client over to talk to Lew. It's been a great relationship and I look forward to many more pools.

“Many of our friends can’t believe we go out in the middle of winter -- until they try it. Then they’re convinced. At our holiday open house several guests stayed around after the party broke up, threw towels around themselves, braved the elements and got in the spa.

“When the temperature falls below 15° or 20°, getting to and from the spa can be a problem. But, if you can walk the 10 feet or so on the deck, you’re set. Once you’re in the spa, everything is OK.

“On the other hand, getting out of the spa is no problem. Just throw on a towel and walk inside. The water keeps you so warm that it would take several minutes before you feel the cold. By then, you’re in the house.

“Four people can comfortably lounge in our spa, but it can seat eight. The lounger and other seats have fancy jets that massage and relax you.

“My four teenage and adult daughters thoroughly enjoy our spa. I think they probably use it more than we do. It’s a great way for families to spend time together, year-round. It’s our way of life.”
